The Work

The focal point of Connie’s life has been art. The drive to create is constant and sustaining. This has been true since childhood.

Color attracts and stimulates her in all aspects of he life; whether in the garden, traveling, clothing, textiles, or even home furnishings. Her dominant inspiration comes from flowers, plants and architecture and she thinks of her pieces as “Imaginary Landscapes”. The materials of her work call to her in the form of paints and papers and images. Her imagination finds expression in the forms of collage, photography, painting and assemblage. Sometimes it is about problem solving, how to get the right effect or get a piece to come together in a harmonious way. This covers many areas of her imagination from photography to fabric collage to painting and assemblage.

Her imagination leads her in many directions, which is exciting, and she follows her instincts and intuition to see where it leads. She develops each concept through several pieces to see it evolve and expand.
